connectivity

Since Long Island is in fact an island, most of the voice and data, coming from and going to Long Island, goes through Manhattan. Historically this had made the Island unsuitable for locating a data, backup center or recovery center. With multiple providers this problem has been solved.

LI Data and Recovery Center is unique. There are three of the major bandwidth providers on site; Verizon, Cablevision Lightpath, Open Access and Keyspan Communications presently. With the additions of Long Island Fiber Exchange and Optical Communications Group with their “Manhattan ByPass Network”tm make 1025 OCR a unique location for Long Island.

Having the 5 (five) major fiber optic networks available to our tenants, without having to go through the costs and delays of a fiber build, allows users flexibility and an ability to connect to on-net locations on Long Island and New York City  with 1025 OCR as a meet point. There is no other building on Long Island with that capability.

Providers can offer tenants DS1, DS3, OCX, Ethernet, Fast E, GigE and any other requirement a tenant might have.  Many of these Carriers also connect to 60 Hudson St, 111 8th Ave, 32 Avenue of the Americas and 25 Broadway enabling access to most of the Voice, Data and Internet providers in New York.
